چکیده

Abstract Hydrocarbons exist in abundant quantity beneath the earth's surface. These hydrocarbons are generally classified as conventional and unconventional depending upon their nature, geology, exploitation procedure. Since under depletion phase, have been a major candidate for current future hydrocarbon production. Additionally, investment research increased significantly its exploitation. Having shift toward hydrocarbons, this study reviews depth technical aspects of hydrocarbons. This review brings together all important reservoirs single literature. at first highlights worldwide resources, concept, distribution, supplies. A portion also discusses resources progressive candidates. Apart from this, geological different including tight, shale, coalbed methane. The petrophysical behavior such assists response to well logs discussion improved correlation analysis is significant part detailed study. variation geology petrophysics with presented. In addition, latest technologies producing ranging fractured wells fluid injections discussed end, machine learning optimization techniques that aids optimized field development planning reservoirs.

Assessing the Development of Unconventional (Brackish and Saline) Water Resources in the West of Hormozgan Province

Introduction: Being located in an arid and semi-arid region, Iran has always faced with limited water resources. As groundwater extraction has now exceeded the permitted limits all over Iran and the country faces considerable constraints in developing groundwater resources, severe water crisis looms large in the horizon. In this regard, a quick solution should be considered to supply water from...

Identification and Evaluation of Unconventional Hydrocarbon Reserves: Examples from Zagros and Central Iran Basins

It is notable that over the past decade, proven reserves of natural gas have dramatically increased as higher prices and advances in technology have turned previously unrecoverable resources into major sources of domestic production. Moreover, the decline in crude oil reserves has significantly slowed over the past decade. Therefore, there would be an end to the conventional hydrocarbon resourc...

A Case Study of a Fine Scale Integrated Geological, Geophysical, Petrophysical, and Reservoir Simulation Reservoir Characterization With Uncertainty Estimation

A novel method for the integration of multi-scale rock and fluid information was performed on a single well deep-water exploration discovery. The method integrates diverse data types through physically constrained models into a single earth model. Development scenarios were optimized through multiple flow simulations. The development scenarios were designed to investigate the range of uncertain...

Petrophysical Characterization of Permian Shallow-Water Dolostone

The complex interplay between depositional facies and diagenesis in dolostones presents numerous challenges for calculating petrophysical properties from wireline logs. Complex pore geometries and mineralogies control rock petrophysical properties, and equations for calculating porosities and saturations must therefore be tailored to specific pore geometry-mineralogy combinations. The complex m...
